The array of areas that are distinctly reminiscent of the “old country” and the new, shiny sky scrapers that show off the architecture of the 20th and 21st centuries.

While you are flying over the former location of the Twin Towers you will be sure to remember the wickedness and insanity of the terrorists that had decided to try to grab headlines and make a statement about how powerful they were with the mass murder of thousands of people. The effect of this tragedy is that the American people pulled together, became stronger and assisted those that were suffering in a manner that had certainly matched the strongest and most loving of nations on earth.

Taking the red Double Decker Bus tour gives you the opportunity to see such places as Wall Street, China Town, the architectural diversity of the city and much more. While looking at Wall Street you will see that the area isn’t very big but the knowledge that billions of dollars flow through the center everyday is really quite a thought. The insignias over the doorways of these building all have a story to tell which may be a great inspiration to do some research once your tour is over.

On your riverboat tour you will have a close up look at the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. These symbols of freedom and hope have welcomed millions to the shores of the United States over the years and have more stories to tell than even the most complete history books hold.

The Statue of Liberty

Statue of liberty

Enlightening the World with charity

A beacon of light, hope, and clarity

A gift of friendship from France

An ally who embraced us taking a chance

To battle the British and our hearts encourage

Today by our foreign policy, this ally we disparage

Yet the Statue of Liberty remains aglow brightly

A universal symbol of freedom and democracy

A monument of cherished national glory

Dedicated on October 28, 1886 proudly

Designated as a National Monument in 1924

Opening to immigrants abroad freedom’s door

Restored for her centennial on July 4, 1986

A pillar commemorating truth and justice

25 windows in the lady’ crown

Represent gemstones found on the earth

To the gem of freedom God gave birth

Igniting hope within the hearts of humanity

Heaven’s rays shining over the world

Christ’s revelation beaming out through His Word

The seven rays of the Statue’s crown

Remind us of countless souls who will bow down

Across the seven seas and continents

Putting in Christ the Savior their confidence

The tablet which the Statue holds in her left hand reads

“July 4th, 1776″ – the date of American Independence

Which in actuality was all about divine dependence

statue of liberties

Upon Almighty God who helped us the underdog

Overthrow the tyranny of Great Britain and the King

The battle cry of the American Revolution told everything

“No King but King Jesus!” This was our anthem

To Christ Jesus alone we pledged allegiance

Entreating help from heaven, this was our brilliance

Sadly and ironically, today we have become the tyrant

Taking our military abroad to oppress the less fortunate

Change regimes and rhetorically justify our means

While we torment the innocent and profit handsomely

Accumulate more oil reserves to gain economically

Exert our global control sovereignly internationally

As if we have become a law and God unto ourselves

Lord God above break us before we abuse anyone else

Relight our flaming torch in purity and remove our perversity

Open our arrogant, greedy eyes to clearly see

That our current foreign policy is causing more hostility

Increasing our enemies and taking us deeper into depravity

Awake us to the cruel consequences and sordid severity

With which our political leaders maneuver for personal gain

And falsely use governmental powers and God’s holy name

Arise mighty God and let not liberty and truth be neglected

Let all deception and evildoers within government be detected

Conquer Christ Jesus over profiteering peddlers of fear

Expose their lies, betrayal, and selling of this war on terror

Uncover their obstruction of justice publicly before all who care

Let them not in pretense patriotically wave our flag in the air

Neither tolerate them to receive unwarranted fanfare

Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand

The people of God committed to truth in the land

Our mighty woman with flaming torch in hand

Welcoming immigrants from afar to this great band

To embrace the cause of liberty and live under command

One nation under God to whom we lift up holy hands

“Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me.

I lift my lamp beside the golden door.”

Emma Lazarus you wrote it well and need say no more

The Statue of Liberty is an anachronism in America today

As America’s leaders misuse their power and seek to play

Purport piety, moralize what they claim to be morality

Fighting wars without end as they maximize their military

American troops follow orders blindly exercising bravery

Trusting in the Commander in Chief who leads us foolishly

Deeper into enemy lands trying to nation build and take a stand

Not wisely counting the cost nor picking our battles

Sometimes we even support repressive Third World dictators

The cry of the French Revolution, “Libert?, ?galit?, fraternit?,”

Is no longer official policy in the U.S.A., just merely history

As it cleverly uses its ideology in duplicity to benefit itself freely

The Statue of Liberty is now a reminder of American hypocrisy

What has become of the United States of America my beloved country?
